Airbrushing with Hans Pennink from the Flory Models

Hi all, Hans is one of the best airbrush painters I know or who's work I have seen.  In these videos Hans walks you through the steps to obtain award winning finishes.  Best of all he lives here in Colorado so his experience is relevant to our dry climate.

While this is a tank the lessons Hans shares with us apply to ships as well.  He also uses MR PAINT which is a relatively new paint brand similar to the old Floquil paints.  Very thin lacquer based paint.  Not easy to find but the lessons work for other paints as well.

Thanks to Hans and Flory Models for organizing these videos.  Maybe one day we can talk Hans into visiting with us.

How to video on assembling and cementing acrylic cases

During our February 2016 meeting we discussed rigging materials and techniques.  After the show and tell section of the meeting Victor demonstrated his use of fly fishing tippet and took a shot at Lycra rigging thread.

During our July 2016 meeting Hugh gave a discussion on color theory.

During our February 2017 meeting we talked about a modeler that would be great with our group, Jonathan Scott from Georgia.  He's put together some excellent videos.  Here's a great one on his method for attaching photo etch railings.  Check out his Facebook page...
