Ship club time already!

Meeting place:
rockler Woodworking (basement)
2553 S. Colorado Blvd., Suite 108
Denver, Colorado  80222
Date:  3/24/2018

I received the Revell Germany new tool 1/72 PT-109 and posted a review about the kit on the PT Boat Forum.  I'm going to bring the kit and discuss the experience of posting a kit review.

Roger notified us that the Paul Allen's team has found the USS Juneau CL-52 and on St. Patrick's day.  Significant because the Juneau is the final resting place of the five Sullivan brothers.  Here's a video documenting the find.  Listen to the conversation about the debris field.

This coming on the heels of finding the Lexington.

If you do a search on YouTube you'll find a lot of video on both finds.

I'm anxious to hear what you're all working on.  With Easter coming on I'm busily working away on my annual egg ships.  I probably won't have those ready until the following meeting but looking forward to showing them to you.

John DuGene is organizing a trip to Colorado Springs on April 28th to visit two aviation museums.  From John "The Peterson AFB Museum: https://petemuseum.org, and the National Museum of WW2 Aviation: http://www.worldwariiaviation.org.  Any and all are welcome to join in - family, friends, etc.  The intent is to be at Peterson about when they open at 9am, break for lunch, then head over to the WW2 Museum for the afternoon.  I'm coordinating with Peterson for base entry; the museum is free, and again for the WW2 museum.  As well, when we get closer, I'll try to get folks together for car pools.  It's another "save-the-date" notice but with a definite program in mind.  Feel free to contact me if anyone is interested and I'll stay in touch on the arrangements."

This sounds like a great opportunity and trip!  If you're interested please reach out to John.

As always please bring....
Your questions
Your new acquisitions of kits and tools
Your finished models

Looking forward to seeing you all
