Greetings all,
Time once again to get together....

Location:
Rockler Woodworking basement
2553 S. Colorado Blvd., Suite 108, Denver, CO 80222
Time:  February 25 2017 @ 10:00

On the agenda for this month we have the following....

Sam Bartlet will finish the 2nd part of the recovery of the ships at Pearl Harbor.  I know some of you have talked about buying the reference that Sam brought which is "Resurrection:  Salvaging the Battle fleet at Pearl Harbor".  I bought the Kindle version and just cracked it this past week.  Really good read.  Sam advises that he has another reference which he's using to supplement what he already had prepared.  Really looking forward to this talk.

I came across a guy back in Atlanta who if not for location would be a perfect fit for our group.  What caught my eye was his techniques for modeling battle damage.  With his permission I put together a short presentation on modeling battle damage.  I think this may generate some mojo!  It has for me.

I'm going to bring some show and tell and from conversations I've had I think we'll have some other interesting topics.  Any of those Normandies done yet?  😎

I thought we could follow up on our masking discussion by talking about marking waterlines.  I have a tool that I use which I'll bring.  We can talk about how you go about it and your techniques for masking.  Then there's the technique of adding boot straps.  Paint?  Decals?  I've never tried to add a boot strap to a waterline model so I'm curious how you all go about it.

The tools have all been ordered.  Jerry is ordering the tweezers and knives.  I placed the order for the tape and it's on the way.  I doubt it will be here for the meeting but if there's an update I will let you know.

I will be unable to make the March meeting so I'm looking for some volunteers to come up with an agenda.

I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday
