Ship club time will be here soon! This one is coming up quick on the first day of the month and it leads off the holiday weekend. I hope you all can make it!
The details...
Meeting location:
Rockler Woodworking (in the basement)
2553 S. Colorado Blvd. Suite 108
Denver, Colorado 80222
Date: 9/1/2018
Time: 10:00
Back from IPMS Nationals and we have plenty to share with you! We'll share some interesting observations and new products.
The USS Ward took 2nd place and the even smaller tugs took 3rd! There was some stiff competition in the 1/700 scale ships so I'm very pleased with the results. But unlike some of the other categories all three awards were rendered in the commercial ship division. Mission accomplished!
Small was the theme of this show and we'll talk more about that. Transporting these little devils to Phoenix in 110 degree heat and dealing with TSA.
I'm going to continue the discussion on decals with a couple of subjects. But most important a tip I got from Martin. I've tested it and I'm going to share the results with you.

Our good friend Jerry is having a challenge matching colors on his build. There just isn't a perfect match out of the bottle so the master, Hugh, is going to give us a talk about adjusting paint colors. I'll add from my experience as well. But I learned everything I know from Hugh who understands color better than anyone else I know.
